Why my PC's Public IP Address is shown in the received emails

Hi Guys,
I was wondering why my PC’s Public IP address along with router’s host name is shown in the email header. phplist was suppose to use server’s IP address, where phplist is hosted, while sending email. How and where does my PC’s IP gets inserted in the email’s header during send?

I sent a test email from phplist.

Can anyone through some light on this issue as I couldn’t find answer anywhere else including Google search.

Is there any way to stop this happening?

This issue was raised earlier on Mantis, the bug tracking system https://mantis.phplist.org/view.php?id=17377

The header appears only when you send using the browser as it is the IP address of the current session. But if you send using a cron job then the email will be shown as coming from the server.

It’s all loud and clear  I wish it showed up on Google search.
