What is the highest PHP version that phpList 3.6.2 will handle? My server choices are:

7.2
7.3
7.4
8.0
There a few similar topics. To the above I’d add:

PHP 8.1.13 was mentioned as suitable three years ago (When will PHP 8 be supported? - #2 by duncanc).
To save me time in the long run I’d like to use the latest possible PHP version.
What is the current situation? Thank you.
I’m using PHP 8.4.15 with my version 3.6.16 of PhpList.
