After unpacking the zip file I noticed 3 files being strange in public_html/lists/admin/ui
Are these files needed?
@mbeerli No, those files are not used and shouldn’t be present. You can ignore or delete them.
From a quick look, the only significant change in the new version is to include a new version of phpmailer, the package that does the actual sending of emails.
