Phplist sending very slow,600msgs/hr

we moved from vps to dedicated server on hostgator. we are able to send 5000 to 6000 emails per hour in vps but in dedicated server we are not able to send more than send 600 mails per hour, no changes in phplist configuration files ,hostgator says there is no issue on dedicated server please advise

sendmail shows that it takes 0.420 seconds to delivered where as phplist event log shows it’s taking 5+ seconds to send out each message please advise

We also use Hostgator with a dedicated server. Be sure you properly configure the DKIM, SPF and DNS entries. When they aren’t set up, you can end up on a SPAM list and be auto-blocked by the bigger mail providers like YAHOO and GMAIL.
