Modification of plugin file domainthrottlemap.php causes 500 server error

Before upgrading to v3.6.15 I was able to modify domainthrottlemap.php, but now if I modify it there are 500 server errors and the application will not function. Can anyone tell me how I can make changes to this file in the new version?

What change are you trying to make? What is the actual error (not the 500 shown in the browser, but the specific error in the error log)?

So this throttle plugin hasn’t been updated in years, however I’ve been making my own updates to it from time to time. Using the same modified file that worked fine before this recent update, the installation threw 500 server errors–a blank white page no matter what I did. The only solution was to use the original file from the plugin, not the modified file. All permissions and file ownership were set correctly, that this was not the cause. Basically I’ve been using a modified version of that file for years without any issues, and I’ve only had this issue with the most recent update.

I suspect that this may have something to do with Immunify on my server, as uploading any file into that directory triggers this issue.

Interesting. I’m not familiar with Immunify, but if you can trigger the problem a different way, it sounds like you’re on the right track for understanding the issue.
