Some visitors to this forum have reported getting errors while accessing forum pages over the last few days. If you see an error like “500 Internal server error”, then try refreshing the page until it loads. Our sysadmins are working on the issue with Discourse and we expect to have it resolved early next week. Sorry for the inconvenience!
It appears that the cause of this issue was hardware in the datacentre hosting the Discourse server. From the hosting company:
“This host was experiencing CPU stalls which can cause intermittent packet loss and latency. Our Administrators took the host down and applied patches that are designed specifically to address these stalls”
Hopefully the previous Forum access HTTP 500 errors are now resolved. Please post here if you experience them again!
