How to place FIRST LAST attribute in TO address email instead of email

Hi
I am using 3.2.1.
Is there any way to replace the email of the user with attributes?
Specifically, I have defined FIRST and LAST as attributes in my database and I would like to have my mailings show in most email clients as “John Smith” as opposed to jsmith@company.com.

I have a feeling this is either really easy or absolutely impossible. I am hoping for the former.

It may be in the documentation but I haven’t been able to find it yet.

Any help or suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

phplist doesn’t do this. It uses only the email address, not any attributes.
