Emails sent are oddly formatted and have the following characters randomly appear "= "

Hi all,

Since upgrading to v3.2.4, we have seen that our messages are being delivered with random characters inserted at seemingly random points in the message. The characters are always a = sign followed by a space.

Here is an exa= mple of what it can l= ook like. Even HTML line breaks <= br> are affect= ed.

It affects both HTML and text messages. Sometimes the characters appear within an URL, rendering them useless.

Does anyone have any ideas what the issue might be? Thanks in advance for your help.

This looks very helpful - I will try this and report back!

Thank you.

Please do, I used the old forum post as it is so much easier to search on there and I remember making the post a sticky on the old forums too!

I am having a few of my members reporting the same “=” with version 3.3.9

Is the correction for this problem still
HTMLEMAIL_ENCODING, “8bit”

or is there a new fix for this???
