Email latest RSS feed whenever it changes?

I’m just getting started with phpList. The documentation has been very helpful in getting set up - but I’m stuck on one thing.

I want to email my subscribers every time my RSS feed updates and only send them the latest post.

I don’t quite understand what happens to a campaign if there’s no new feed item. Does it send a blank email? Or does it wait until it has new content?

Additionally, I only ever want to send the latest item. Not the latest N items. Is that possible?

Sorry if those are simple questions - I’m finding myself a bit tangled in the documentation :slight_smile:

@edent If there are no feed items then the campaign will not be sent.

You should be able to send only the latest feed item by setting Minimum number of items to send in an RSS email and Maximum number of items to send in an RSS email each to 1 on the Settings page. The plugin should choose the most recent item using the published date.
