Do attachments have to be uploaded to the server?

Reading through the config file, I’m a bit confused regarding attachments. Do they have to be uploaded to the server or can they be pulled off the local machine running phpList in the browser?

I believe you need to upload them to the phpList server. I only have one customer that sends attachments, and that’s how they do it.

You can also send via a command line, (cron job), in that case there is no phpList running in a browser…

@DesertCoder You are over complicating this.

Just allow attachments in your config file, then create or edit a campaign. There will then be an Attachments tab where you can add a file on your pc as an attachment (which is what I explained in a previous topic).
