CKEditor and KCFinder: cannot select message from image folder

Hi,
For some reason I cannot select an image from the image folder. The image I want is highlighted, but how do I get in my message? I do not see buttons to select the image and ‘Enter’ doesn’t work too.

Okay, I upgraded to version 3.6.0 just to avoid the obvious remarks.

Still no way to select a picture. I can upload a picture, so the directory is fine.
But selecting is not possible.
Does anyone have a clue what is going on here?

Ron

@Ronald double-clicking an image should select it and return to the ckeditor image properties popup.

Yes, one would expect that, but no!
Double-clicking, Enter, using strong words, nothing helps.

ron

@Ronald Which version of the ckeditor plugin is installed. The current version is 2.6.1.

Can you use the browser’s tools to see whether there are any javascript problems reported.

Yes, I use 2.6.1.

Tools: I can use the console tool fpr Firefox, but it shows so many things that I am lost.

Even browsing this forum gives me:

Sorry, this goes beyond my capabilities.

Ron

Hi all,

I did a fresh, clean, automatic install (Installatron) on a different domain.
Just to be sure that I couldn’t mess up the install. It is version 3.5.9.

Out of the box, without touching any config, I couldn’t use the browser for selecting a picture for my new started campaign.
Error message : Not logged in.

Next I used the automatic update for version 3.6.0.
Error message : No permission to access updater.

This drives me crazy. What goes wrong here???

I’m a user myself and that sounds a lot like the issue I had when updating our editor. You need to have your network administrator check the permissions level for all the files related to that plugin. It looks like it was installed by the admin but then never had permissions granted to the user who would ultimately run it (such as the web user). Hope that offers a little direction … Doug

Additionally, make sure they copied the NEW .htaccess files located in the root of the plugin. There were changes made during a recent release and it may not have been updated when you re-installed it.

Good Luck!

Thanks Doug,

All files are in place. Because it is a fresh, clean install and done by Installatron (installer tool on the server) I have to trust permissions are set o.k. All other programs installed by this tool just run fine.

PHPList uses over 33k+ files when installing. I always wonder if someone oversees this amount of software, just to send messages…
I think I have come to a point where I have to seek other programs to do the business. I know many people work at phplist at probably no pay. I respect that, but I have messages to send,

Ron

Update:
I have decided to quit with phplist. I want to send out newsletters and do not want to spend my time chasing bugs and programming.
I thank the people who have supported me, send me good tips and got me on my way. It is a good community.
But with every update, the process starts again and for me this is the end.
I searched and found a different solution to send out newsletters. I’m a happy camper now.

Thanks. Ronald
