[RESOLVED] Error: initialisation of plugin .... failed

Greetings.

The version of phpList you are using: v3.2.4

Your server version of PHP: 5.4.45

The url to your installation where possible: http://freeworldexpress.com/admin

Which browser (and version) you are using to view your site: Google Chrome

What exactly is the issue:

My PHPLIST site is installed using INSTALLATRON – a software similar to FANTASTICO, located within my cPanel.

Recently, at the top of my site the following error message started appearing:

Error: initialisation of plugin fckphplist4872543337c failed
ZnJlZXdvcmxkZXhwcmVzcy5jb20=
Error: initialisation of plugin fckphplist57257 failed

This error message appears both before logging in as admin and after logging in as admin.

Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Best Wishes,

Perfect supply of relevant info! Thank you.

Have you downloaded the fckeditor plugin from this page? https://resources.phplist.com/plugin/fckphplist

Have you enabled more than one editor in the phpList plugins page?

Suggest you try the new CKEditor plugin, it’s much better and replaced fckeditor some time back.

@prodos @Dragonrider Both editor plugins are now included in phplist.
You can enable CKEditor on the Manage Plugins page, menu Config > Manage plugins.

Re the error message, look in the plugins folder. There might be unnecessary files or folders left over from the installation, something like fckphplist4872543337c.php
If there is then just delete those.

Below, is a screenshot from my WinSCP program looking inside the admin/plugins folder.
Can you confirm that it’s safe to delete fckphplist4872543337c.php – and maybe some others?

Many thanks.

You can delete the four files that have strings of digits in their name. That should get rid of the errors about initialising plugins.
