Embedding images into email in 3.2.5!

Hi

My PHPlist version 3.2.5 I am trying to use the new

embed images in emails

define(‘EMBEDEXTERNALIMAGES’, 1);

Added the above 2 lines to my config.php file but cannot get embedding to work.
Test mails still showing XXX

Any help here will be appreciated…

Sometimes your email client will block the view of images. That’s definitely worth checking the settings.
You need to upload the images to the phpList system for them to be embedded. Please verify.

It is OK when I do embed the images manually by creating a template.

My understanding was that the setting would do that for you?If I only upload the images to the server upload folder and then insert them into the messages it does nothing new… cannot see the setting doing anything…

@Madimant The setting applies to images that are hosted externally, not on your own web server.

Worked perfectly this time…

Loaded the images onto another website server and inserted links to that site url in the images links in the mailer. All images displayed first time when I opened the email in Outlook.
