I sent out a email and got about 50 emails with the following information:

[Tue 22 Jan 2019 08:48] [IP address] This batch will be 960 emails, because in the last 30 seconds 40 emails were sent

[Tue 22 Jan 2019 08:48] [IP address] 1 messages sent in 0.28 seconds (12980 msgs/hr)
[Tue 22 Jan 2019 08:48] [IP address] 10 failed (will retry later)
What exactly does this mean - especially for an email list with only 240 members on it? Why is it 960 emails? Did the emails send?
Also, I had domain throttling on, but it didn’t seem to throttle anything.

It looks like most of the attempts to send are failing. There might be something logged in the Event Log page to indicate why.

@jodywhitesides There is nothing useful shown. It looks like only one send operation is successful then the rest of the batch fail.
What is the background to this? Did phplist work then suddenly doesn’t, or has it ever worked?
Possibly the batch size and throttle give a sending rate that is too high for your account.
Yes it previously worked. I have tried the new throttle feature to make sure more emails don’t get marked as spam from bigger mail services.
Here’s what one of the emails said when I did the mailing:

The majority of attempts to send are failing, so you need to investigate why that is happening.
