I’ve used PHPlist for years with no problems and recently upgraded to version 3.3.1 (Thanks to help from Dragonrider and others on this forum). I was able to load the editor, and create a campaign. I also recently went through all my lists and removed any that i thought might be invalid or no longer relevant.
I sent the campaign last night at about 9PM, and I immediately started receiving tons of messages in my inbox of bounced emails. I received exactly the number of emails that was in my subscriber list.
When i go to my campaign list, I no longer see this campaign, either in Sent or in Drafts. Also previous to this, whenever i tried to send a test message, it was marked as sent but I never recived the test. Not sure if this is related.
One clue I have is that i changed the email address from which I send the emails in the campaign, if that’s relevant.

Look in the ‘system’, ‘log of events’ for more info on what’s going on. Need more info, but it sounds like the connection the SMTP (sending) mail server isn’t working.
log of events says “Finished”, then "59 messages sent in 14.74 seconds (14411 msgs/hr)"
and before that
"It took 3 minutes 16 seconds to send this message"
and "Processed 282 out of 341 subscribers"
and more of roughly the same three messages over and over about five times. No error messages.
Just a thought here, try to send a test message to this new email address, using the Send Test option on the send a campaign page, and see what the system reports back. If Success, ok, is failed, it might be worth changing the email address back to waht it was before.
I tried three different email addresses. Two of them gave me the error "Email address not found to send test message.“
and one of them said
"Sent test mail to: __@.com Success”
But still no test email showed up in my inbox or spam folder.
This means that the first two are not current subscribers, phpList now offers you the option to add them by the way.
So, from what you’ve said, phpList is working, just that for some reason, the mails are not getting through. As @danwaterloo said, check the error log to see if there are any clues there. Without seeing what the settings and such like, it is difficult to diagnose.
I’ve explained all the messages in the log of events above in both responses. Is there some setting that I need to look at and describe that I’m not seeing? Can you be really specific as to where I would find it? Appreciate you bearing with me, I am not a coder.
Looking at my general settings, I see that my domain name did not have “www” in front. Tried adding that to see if it works. Same thing, when I send a test email, get the message “success” but no email arrives.
Here is my entore error log since i upgraded to the new version. Let me know if there’s any other info you’re missing.
